brightlight! was created as a resource for mogwai fans. we would like bl! to be a group effort, a place for all mogwai fans to share and gather info. so if you have anything at all to contribute - be it gig reviews, news rumours, whatever - then please mail us.
some materials used on the site, such as images and sound clips, are held under the copyright of their respective owners. in theory we are breaking the law by using them, but we like to think we are using them for the good of the band and we are certainly not gaining any personal benefit from it. we do not feel we are harming the sales of any mogwai material - in fact we hope we are doing the opposite by making more people aware of the band and encouraging them to buy the records. if any legal representatives of the band or their record label disapprove of any of the site content, please contact rob so we can discuss the matter.
the site has been designed and tested to look best using netscape 6.2.1 and microsoft internet explorer 6.0, although slightly older versions of either of these browsers should work fine too. also, the site should be usable on other browsers such as netscape navigator 4.7 or opera, but it may not look as good. we have tried to keep the amount of images used to a minimum to ensure loading times are not too lengthy. bl! has been designed to be viewed at a resolution of 800x600 or higher, and to view the images at their best a minimum of 256 colours should be supported. the site is written in html by hand using edit plus and windows wordpad. images are touched-up and edited using paint shop pro. although the design of the site is tom's work, it was heavily "influenced" by the "mogwai fear satan" cd cover design by adam piggot. any comments about the site design are welcome.
bl! was originally set up in early 1998 by thomas houghton. tom- bl@youngteam.co.uk rob joined bl! as a writer in 1999 after being a regular contributor since the site's inception. rob-bl@youngteam.co.uk |
